Simply put on your exercise shorts and do it anyway!

Chances are that your enthusiasm will soon catch up and keep pace with you. This can be at any time of day. But if you automatically put on your training gear when you wake up, or return home from work, then habit can simply kick in.

Decide to cut down your normal exercise time

The probability is, that once you get going, you'll just keep going! If motivation is still low, find another source. Hook up with a friend or friendly rival. Or find a new companion for a change. Then feel those competitive juices start to flow!

Find alternative exercise options

Realise that you are doing this for you, not because it's something that has to be done.

Complain that you can't be bothered to someone who simply won't accept such BS from you!

Or make a post on your social media and wait for the 'feedback' to begin!

Agree with the words of others

This can be a great place to find motivation. American football coaching legend Vince Lombardi said: 'Once you learn to quit, it becomes a habit'. He also reckoned that: 'Most people fail, not because of a lack of desire, but because of a lack of commitment. Henry Ford – the original car guy – reckoned that: 'Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you're right'. Arnold Schwarzenegger told us that: 'The pain you feel today will be the strength you feel tomorrow.
